HARDY grew up on classic rock, jamming to bands like Aerosmith, KISS, and Pink Floyd with his dad while commuting from their home to the family chicken farm. When he heard Eric Church’s “Homeboy,” HARDY realized that rock had found a new home in country music, and it created a deeper appreciation for the genre. His musical taste is to thank for his big sound, something he acknowledges apart of his brand, “The sound is big. The towns are small. And the name is HARDY.”
2018 proved to be his breakthrough year! He put two number-one singles under his belt as a songwriter with Florida Georgia Line’s “Up Down” & “Simple.” He also released his debut EP, “This Ole Boy.” The songs are bold and proud, the voice is commanding and the lyrics are centered on farms, in the backwoods and mostly in America’s heartland. The release provides a strong base point for HARDY as an artist, representative of the hard-edged music, the easy-going people and the slow-changing nature of the world at the heart of a rural community.
