Hey everyone! My name is Matt Cooper, & I’m the afternoon host on Q103.1! Hang out with me weekday afternoons from 3-7pm on Q103.1!
I grew up in Oak Forest, Il, a suburb of Chicago. I went to college at South Suburban College and the Illinois Media School. I moved here from Cincinnati in March of 2020.
I volunteered for the Special Olympics, where I served as the emcee for their Track & Field and fishing events. I also emceed the Walk to Defeat ALS and Tunnel 2 Towers 5k run & walk. In addition to these great events, I served as the ring announcer for wrestling and boxing matches. I hope to continue as a ring announcer for similar events in my new home.
I love football! My Sunday’s are spent watching my favorite team, the Chicago Bears #GoBears! I’ve been fortunate to travel the country to see them play in many different places. I also enjoy watching baseball! White Sox all the way!
Some of my hobbies outside of my career include going to the gym, cooking new meals, trying new breweries & coffee shops, & being active in the community.
